Narci is a great commander to have around, along with Tom BombadilTom Bombadil, Sigurd, Jarl of RavensthorpeSigurd, Jarl of Ravensthorpe, and Eivor, Wolf-KissedEivor, Wolf-Kissed (though the latter two cards can't run Binding) because Sagas are a blast to play with and getting to build around them offers yet another quirky deckbuilding pathway in the format
While most Power Nine cards are banned in every format except Vintage, Timetwister remains the only one legal in Legacy and Commander, making it an essential piece for competitive blue players
One mana for two life per turn is nothing to write home about but is more than you can get from many of the life gain effects and a very happy bonus on an already great card
For example, I used syntax to find noncreature permanents with triggered abilities similar to Kykar: "(game:paper)(legal:commander)(id:wur)(-t:creature)(o:when)(o:cast)(o:noncreature)" This search brought back eighteen results, from which I added cards like Whirlwind of ThoughtWhirlwind of Thought and Saheeli, Sublime ArtificerSaheeli, Sublime Artificer
Plus, building a good relationship with the people running the shop is almost always worth more than a few bucks here or there
I do feel a little conflicted looking at the pile of fancy new diplomatic tools I had to cut to make room in this upgrade
